VISA REGIME

ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia do not need a visa to stay in Ukraine for up to 90 days in a 180-day period from the date of first entry. Holders of an emergency travel document who are in transit do require a visa. For the purpose of tourism travel, the national passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the date of departure from Ukraine.
Travel health insurance is mandatory. Proof of vaccination is not required.
Cash money of up to 10,000 dollars may be brought into/taken out of Ukraine without declaring it.
Travellers are allowed to bring the following into the country, without paying import duties: 1 (one) litre of spirits, 2 (two) litres of wine, 5 (five) litres of beer, 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 g of tobacco, 500 ml of eau de toilette or 100 ml of perfume, two mobile phones, one video camera, one photo camera, and two laptops.
Without payment of import duties, goods bought in passenger transport, worth 1,000 euros, may be brought into the country through an international airport, or worth 500 euros but not weighing more than 50 kg may be brought into the country over a road border crossing.
Quantities of medicines permitted are limited to 5 boxes per person (unless the medicines themselves are prohibited because they contain narcotic and psychotropic substances). If more than 5 boxes are required for treatment, it is necessary to have an appropriate medical certificate.

Special permits are required for temporary import of hunting weapons, and import of animals and pets.

No social security agreement has been concluded.

USEFUL INFORMATION

SECURITY SITUATION — According to Ukrainian regulations, foreign nationals need a permit issued by the territorial unit of the State Migration Service of Ukraine to travel to the territories of the Crimean, Donetsk, and Luhansk peninsulas.
The security situation in Kiev and cities in the western part of Ukraine is generally stable, with occasional protests. Citizens of the Republic of Serbia are advised not to travel to eastern parts of Ukraine (Donbass region) where there are armed conflicts, and those already staying in these areas should take extra precautionary measures and maximise their personal safety in light of the very unstable security situation.
Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who intend to travel to or temporarily stay or work in Ukraine are advised to avoid public gatherings, demonstrations and other mass gatherings and events, to follow the local media, and to keep contact with the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Kiev.

TRANSPORT — The most important international airports are in Kiev (Boryspil and Zhulyany), Kharkiv, Donetsk, Lviv, and Odessa. All major cities and district centres are connected by a railway network. Motorways are generally good. A green card is required to travel by car. Serbian driver's licence issued on the new form may be used for operating a motor vehicle. In case of granted temporary residence in Ukraine, it is necessary to have an international driving permit.

OTHER INFORMATION — The national currency is the hryvnia (UAH). Money can be exchanged in banks and exchange offices.
