ENTERING AND LEAVING THE COUNTRY
Visas are required, including for holders of emergency travel documents in transit. The Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in Hungary has informed that from 1 June 2022 applications for visas need to be submitted in person, during business hours, Monday-Friday between 09:00-12:00, and that visa applications via post, courier service or a third party will not be accepted. The validity period of the travel passport must be 6 months from the day of the planned entry. Additionally, there must be two blank pages in the passport when entering the country. Currently, a negative result of the PCR test for COVID-19 is required to enter or leave the country by plane, or tourists will be accommodated, at their expense, in hospital centres for at least 10 days.

No social security agreement has been concluded.
USEFUL INFORMATION
TRANSPORT — In order to drive a motor vehicle, in addition to the national driver's licence, it is necessary to have an international driver's licence, that means an official translation of the same into English made in the diplomatic-consular mission of the Republic of Serbia in South Africa. The general precondition is that the national or international driver's licence has been issued before the date of the temporary or permanent residence permit.
OTHER INFORMATION — The electricity is 220V/50. Suitable adapter can be bought in almost every supermarket. The official language is English.
